Yummy "Pastys" (pronounced "Pahstie")

When I travel I love to try "traditional" foods of the places I visit. Today we were walking I saw shops that had, what looked to me to be stuffed bread dough.
When Mark told us they were "Pastys" which are flaky pastry crust stuffed with various fillings....from chicken and mushrooms, vegetables, and even pork and apples (that's what I tried..yum), we decided to give them a try.
What a fine way to start the day! With breakfasts like this...we need to walk.... A LOT!

The 2nd Grade class says "Send the onion and cheese Pasty" That looks good. Students are not so sure about that...We enjoyed looking at London through your camera. Send more!!! It's been very educational for all of us. One of our Vocabulary words this morning was "urban" parks. Fits right into the lesson!!
